June 2022 - October 2022
The scope of work includes establishing site access with clearing and grubbing, setting up sediment decanting and staging areas, and installing and maintaining temporary erosion and sediment control measures. Dewatering and creek bypass pumping operations (up to 50,000 L/day) will support the construction of proposed stormwater management (SWM) pond and channel features. Activities involve excavation and on-site stockpiling of reusable topsoil, off-site disposal of excess material in accordance with O.Reg 406, grading of the SWM pond and floodplain channel, and removal of existing concrete weir and outlet culverts. The project also includes installation of new inlet/outlet structures, conduits, and rock protection; placement of a clay pond liner, riffle rock, boulders, woody debris, and lag layers within the channel; followed by granular base and asphalt paving. Final restoration includes topsoil placement, seeding, erosion control blankets, and restoration plantings
